NTT DATA has announced the appointment of Joe Pace as Chief Operating Officer for its Global Data Centers division.

Based in Sacramento, California, Pace will report directly to Doug Adams, President and CEO of NTT Global Data Centers, taking over from Florian Winkler, who recently departed the company. In his new role, Pace will oversee the development and enhancement of global operational functions aimed at increasing scalability, efficiency, and delivering high-quality services to clients worldwide.

Kenya launches AI skilling initiative to equip 100,000 public sector workers

Kenya has announced the creation of a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) skilling project board aimed at equipping 100,000 public sector employees with essential AI capabilities.

The initiative was officially launched during the inaugural meeting of the project implementation board for the Regional Centre of Competence (RCOC) on Digital and AI Skills for Public Service.

UN highlights urgent need for digital skills development

Mohammed emphasised a critical challenge: Africa must invest heavily in developing digital skills among its youth to harness the continent’s demographic growth for economic transformation.
