IBM has introduced IBM Sovereign Core, a groundbreaking software foundation designed to embed digital sovereignty controls directly into the architecture of cloud-native and AI workloads. The launch responds to growing concerns over cross-border data access, operational control, and compliance amid escalating geopolitical tensions and increasingly stringent regulatory environments.

As digital sovereignty extends beyond simple data residency, it now encompasses control over infrastructure, software, identity and access management, encryption keys, auditability, and the jurisdiction where AI models are hosted and inference is conducted. IBM Sovereign Core aims to give enterprises, governments, and service providers sovereignty "as an inherent property of the software," allowing them to operate within their own jurisdictional boundaries without relying on overlays or external controls.

STULZ has launched an upgraded version of its pioneering CyberRack Active Rear Door, building on the success of the previous model. This advanced rear-mounted heat exchanger features electronically commutated (EC) fans that efficiently capture heat directly at its source, offering a space-saving solution for high-density data center cooling.

Designed for both air and liquid-cooled environments, the new CyberRack Active Rear Door boasts improved performance, increased flexibility, and simplified integration. Equipped with integrated sensors that continuously monitor return and supply air temperatures within individual server racks, the system adjusts cooling output automatically to match fluctuating server heat loads. This ensures consistent, efficient, and reliable operation even during workload spikes.

ADLINK has expanded its edge computing line-up with a new server board and three Intel Xeon 6-based GPU servers, as demand grows for more compute at industrial and on-premise sites.

The launch includes the ISB-W890 server board and the AXE-7440GW, AXE-7420GWA and AXE-7220GW systems. ADLINK is targeting organisations running advanced vision processing, analytics and generative AI inference outside central data centres. Edge deployments are moving from pilots to production, particularly in environments where connectivity limits, response-time needs and local data processing requirements shape system design.
