At the recent Connect Xperience event, TelCables Nigeria unveiled Clouds2Africa, a locally hosted cloud platform designed to revolutionize how Nigerian businesses access, manage, and grow their digital resources.
Tailored specifically for Nigeria’s unique business landscape, Clouds2Africa offers scalable infrastructure, robust security features, and an intuitive user interface that rivals — and in some cases exceeds — international cloud solutions.
“Clouds2Africa is built to meet Nigeria’s specific needs. With its flexible architecture and strong security protocols, it provides a reliable, compliant alternative to more complex global cloud offerings,” said Israel Ogboi, Pre-Sales Engineer at TelCables Nigeria.
Hosted within two Tier III data centres in Lagos, the platform ensures low latency, full adherence to local regulations, and high reliability. During a live demonstration, Ogboi showcased how businesses can efficiently scale their operations and securely store data while maintaining optimal performance. He also highlighted ACloudConnect, a hybrid Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) solution that offers secure, dedicated links between on-premises infrastructure and international cloud providers — bypassing the public internet to enhance security and reduce vulnerabilities.
Despite challenges such as policy constraints and a shortage of skilled talent, Ogboi emphasized that TelCables is actively collaborating with government agencies and partners to promote cloud literacy and skills development.
“We’re breaking down myths and barriers,” said Ogboi. “Through initiatives like Connect Xperience and our Partner Enablement Program, we’re empowering ISPs and resellers to adopt revenue-sharing models and deliver cloud services that are ready for the future.”
