Ghana faces rising cybercrime costs and incidents in 2025

Ghana has experienced a significant rise in cybercrime, losing approximately 19 million cedis (around US$1.8 million) during the first nine months of 2025, marking a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data released by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA).

The country also recorded 2,008 cyber incidents in the first half of 2025 alone, representing a sharp 52% increase over the total reported cases in 2024.
