Angola Cables has announced the launch of its third cloud node in Angola, expanding its pan-African Clouds2Africa platform, alongside a new initiative to offer free cloud services to startups and local entrepreneurs.
The platform also includes nodes in South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, Ghana, and Tanzania.

Delivered through its partnership with Cloudmania, the programme signifies a major move in expanding cloud technology access on the continent. The company noted that, unlike conventional distributors, Liquid G focuses on AI-enabled support that simplifies business operations for resellers, while providing access to Google Cloud’s infrastructure, AI, and data analytics solutions that are increasingly in demand in the region.

Africa Data Centres, a division of Cassava Technologies, has announced a strategic partnership with CSSi SA, a prominent cloud, VM provider, and distributor of data storage, servers, and data centre equipment.
The collaboration aims to deploy racks and deliver data sovereignty solutions for South African clients, featuring up to three tiers of redundancy across three distinct data centre locations.

Botswana is nearing an agreement to host the Southern African Development Community (SADC) regional internet exchange, a move that would cement its status as the bloc’s primary digital gateway.
The country’s national fibre network operator, Botswana Fibre Network (BoFiNet), is collaborating closely with the SADC Secretariat on this initiative.
