Synyega appoints new leadership team to address surging demand for FinOps, ITAM, GreenOps and AI cost management services

Synyega, the independent consultancy specialising in IT Asset Management (ITAM), FinOps and GreenOps, has strengthened its leadership team to ensure it is fully equipped to meet rapidly increasing demand from organisations that require expert, unbiased help managing their cloud, software and AI usage and expenditure.

Synyega delivered 48% year-on-year revenue growth in 2025, consistent with the previous two years, while profitability increased by approximately 100% year-on-year. The new leadership team will ensure the company can continue on its rapid growth trajectory, unlocking new revenue opportunities as well as strengthening its operational structure and governance.

The company’s founder, Tony Crawley, moves to the position of CEO to spearhead its ambitious growth plans. Stephen Old – previously Head of FinOps and GreenOps – assumes the position of COO, responsible for driving operational excellence across the organisation.

The new senior leadership team also includes: Michael Andrews, Head of Project Management; Sue Crawley, Director; Rich Gibbons, Head of FinOps, GreenOps and Microsoft Intelligence; Kate Hawgood, Head of Marketing; Holly Mascard, Head of ITAM; Erin McLean, Head of Strategic Accounts; Phil Merson, CFO; Andy Pitts, Head of Sales; and Jacques Wiehahn, who recently joined Synyega as Head of Tooling & AI Practice to oversee the company’s growing AI cost management practice.

In addition, Synyega has expanded and formalised its board advisors, appointing respected industry leaders with direct experience in scaling high-growth advisory and services businesses. This new structure will ensure active strategic challenge and oversight of business decision making.

“Organisations are under enormous pressure to control software, cloud and now AI costs,” said Tony Crawley, CEO, Synyega. “What organisations need now isn’t another reseller of software, applications and services – they need an independent partner who sits on their side of the negotiation table. That is what Synyega represents – trusted expertise that is on your side and acting only in your interests. Our Leadership evolution ensures that we can scale that independence to deliver even greater impact.”
