The Fund for Access and Universal Electronic Communications Service (FASUCE) has achieved a significant step forward in its efforts to bridge the digital divide in Congo.

The towns of Miaba, located about 20 kilometers from Oyo, and Ehota in the Tchikapika District have now been officially connected to the national telecommunications network, marking a major milestone in expanding digital access across the region.

The inauguration ceremonies drew participation from prominent officials, including Léon Juste IBOMBO, the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy; Luc Missidimbazi, Chair of the FASUCE Fund Committee; Yves Ickonga, Advisor to the President on ICT and Vice President of the Fund Committee; and Louis-Marc Sakala, Director General of ARPCE. Local authorities also attended, emphasizing the importance of the project for regional development.

While both towns aim to improve connectivity and digital inclusion, Ehota distinguishes itself with its sophisticated technical infrastructure, which is comparable to facilities found in major urban centers. This development is expected to significantly enhance digital access and opportunities for residents, helping to reduce disparities and foster socio-economic growth in the area.
