Digital Parks Africa (DPA) has entered into a strategic partnership with iXAfrica Data Centres, the operator of East Africa’s first hyperscale, AI-ready data centre located in Kenya.
This collaboration aims to deliver world-class data centre services to both Southern and East Africa, marking a significant step toward strengthening the continent’s digital infrastructure.
The partnership is designed to facilitate seamless data centre access across the two regions, enabling businesses and multinational clients to operate more efficiently with integrated solutions. Customers will benefit from points of presence in both Southern and East Africa, simplifying cross-border operations and supporting regional expansion. DPA customers will now be able to access data centre services in Kenya, taking advantage of the local ecosystem that includes fibre and cloud operators. Conversely, iXAfrica clients can leverage DPA’s established infrastructure in South Africa.
Both providers describe this alliance as a vital move toward creating a reliable and efficient pan-African digital backbone. By working together, they aim to position themselves as preferred partners for hyperscalers, enterprises, and government entities seeking to accelerate digital growth across the continent. The collaboration is seen as a strategic effort to support Africa’s transition into a digitally connected economy, providing trusted infrastructure that enables innovation at scale.
“By aligning with DPA, we are giving customers the confidence to expand seamlessly across borders with the same reliability, efficiency, and resilience they expect in global markets. For us at iXAfrica, it’s about enabling Africa’s enterprises and innovators to scale at the speed of technology while creating the foundations for AI, cloud, and connectivity to thrive across the continent,” said Snehar Shah, CEO of iXAfrica.
