Africa Data Centres, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies and a leading provider of digital infrastructure across Africa, has announced a strategic commercial partnership with Blue Turtle Technologies, one of South Africa’s prominent enterprise IT solutions providers.

This collaboration aims to deploy colocation services at the Cape Town and Midrand data centres, marking a significant step in bolstering South Africa’s enterprise cloud and digital ecosystem.

The partnership will enable Blue Turtle to deploy multiple racks, offering local enterprise clients access to secure, compliant, and scalable colocation and private hosted cloud services. This move is designed to facilitate rapid adoption of cloud computing, digital transformation, and data-driven operations within South Africa’s business landscape, leveraging high-performance infrastructure that meets strict regulatory standards.

“This partnership enables us to offer customers trusted colocation and private cloud solutions in two of South Africa’s most strategic data centre locations. As enterprise clients increasingly seek secure, scalable, and cost-efficient alternatives to on-premises infrastructure, we expect strong market demand — reflected in our accelerated deployment timeline,” said Jan Hitge, Business Development Manager for Managed Services at Blue Turtle.

The collaboration aims to support enterprises in modernizing their IT environments, strengthening security, and complying with data sovereignty laws such as South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). The high-availability services will include low-latency connectivity and disaster recovery capabilities, essential for safeguarding critical business data and operations.

“It’s about enabling digital transformation across the economy. Blue Turtle’s strong client base and ability to scale rapidly make them an ideal partner in our mission to deliver secure, resilient, and sustainable digital infrastructure in South Africa. As demand for trusted infrastructure grows, we aim to evolve this partnership to support broader initiatives such as edge computing and AI-ready deployments,” said Adil El Youssefi, CEO of Africa Data Centres.

By joining forces with Blue Turtle, Africa Data Centres continues to expand its footprint and influence in Africa’s enterprise sector, reinforcing South Africa’s position as a leading technological hub on the continent. With Africa Data Centres operating the largest interconnected, vendor- and cloud-neutral data centre platform in Africa, this partnership signifies a major step toward powering next-generation digital transformation across the region.
