RackCentre is set to significantly enhance Nigeria’s digital landscape with the launch of its new 12MW AI-oriented data centre.
This facility, located in Lagos, aims to drive local cloud adoption, bolster data sovereignty, and attract global technology companies looking for scalable infrastructure in West Africa’s largest market.
The new facility, Lagos 2 (LGS 2), features advanced infrastructure tailored to Nigeria’s digital landscape, boasting a total IT power capacity of 12 MW supported by a utility power supply of 25 MVA. The facility encompasses 3,240 square meters of white space and contains six data halls with a 2 MW IT load, supplemented by four dedicated Meet-Me-Rooms for enhanced connectivity.
Sustainability is a core focus, with the facility achieving the IFC EDGE certification for energy efficiency, making it the first green-certified data centre in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
