Wolters Kluwer has announced the expansion of its cloud infrastructure with the opening of a new TeamCloud Hosting Data Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This strategic investment aims to address the increasing demand from African organizations for secure, compliant, and high-performance data storage solutions.

The new Microsoft Azure Johannesburg TeamMate Cloud Hosting Data Centre is part of Wolters Kluwer’s extensive international network, providing African clients with the advantage of local data residency. By storing data within the region, organizations can better meet regional compliance standards while benefiting from the company’s global best practices in security, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key benefits of the Johannesburg Data Centre include:

Enhanced security: Advanced protection measures guard against cyber threats and unauthorized access, safeguarding client data confidentiality and integrity.
Regulatory compliance: The facility adheres to strict regional security protocols, ensuring clients meet local and international compliance requirements.
Operational resilience: Features like redundant power supplies and environmental controls guarantee continuous service, even during outages.
Peace of mind: Continuous monitoring and regular audits maintain high security standards and promptly address vulnerabilities.
Focus on core business: With infrastructure management handled by experts, clients can dedicate resources to their primary activities without concerns over data security.

The TeamCloud service allows African organizations to scale their TeamMate databases without investing in additional hardware. By reducing the burden on internal IT teams, Wolters Kluwer’s experts oversee server management, system monitoring, and performance optimization, ensuring maximum availability and reliability. Clients also have access to dedicated support for any technical or operational inquiries related to the TeamMate suite.

“Our new Johannesburg data centre reflects our dedication to helping African businesses thrive. By removing infrastructure burdens and providing top-tier security, we empower our clients to focus on delivering successful audit and compliance outcomes,” said Frans Klaassen, SVP and General Manager of Wolters Kluwer Audit & Assurance.
