TelCables Nigeria, a subsidiary of Angola Cables, has announced its upcoming Connect Xperience event, designed to unite companies and strategic partners to explore how local cloud infrastructure can accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation and deliver wide-ranging benefits across multiple economic sectors.
Currently valued at approximately $1.03 billion, Nigeria’s cloud computing market is projected to reach $3.28 billion by 2030, driven by rapid digitalization in finance, technology, and commerce. As reliance on cloud services intensifies, the importance of local cloud solutions — offering lower latency, stronger data sovereignty, enhanced security, and better compliance with local regulations — becomes increasingly evident.
The event aims to showcase how adopting local cloud infrastructure can support Nigeria’s growing digital economy, which currently contributes around 20% to the nation’s real GDP. With strategic data centres and world-class connectivity, TelCables emphasizes the importance of developing innovative, Africa-developed solutions tailored to local needs.
“We believe that the future of cloud in Africa lies in solutions that are developed here — by Africa, for Africa — addressing the unique demands of our businesses and users. Our goal is to support sustainable digital growth in Nigeria through robust, affordable, and accessible infrastructure,” said Fernando Fernandes, CEO of TelCables Nigeria.
During Connect Xperience, TelCables experts will present various cloud models suited for Nigerian companies — from startups to large enterprises — and explore opportunities for local resellers and integrators to expand their service offerings leveraging Lagos’s reliable infrastructure.
“Connect Xperience will be a key meeting point for IT decision-makers, business leaders, and industry professionals interested in reliable, scalable, and locally-hosted cloud solutions that can enhance business processes and foster Nigeria’s economic development,” said Fernandes.
