Rack Centre and EdgeNext have jointly announced the launch of new Content Delivery Network (CDN) and cloud hosting services to meet Nigeria’s rising demand for high-performance digital infrastructure.
Hosted at Rack Centre’s Tier III, cloud-neutral data centre in Lagos, these services aim to enhance content delivery, reduce latency, and improve cloud hosting efficiency for Nigerian businesses and consumers.
EdgeNext’s global acceleration network will enable faster, more reliable performance for applications including video streaming, social media, e-commerce, and gaming platforms. The company also plans to introduce specialised gaming cloud solutions tailored for Nigeria’s rapidly expanding gaming community, featuring low latency and high concurrency capabilities suitable for both mobile and PC gamers.
Terence Wang, CEO of EdgeNext, highlighted the significance of this milestone, emphasising that the partnership with Rack Centre will ensure “secure, reliable, and low-latency services” for Nigerian organisations and developers. Meanwhile, Rack Centre CEO Lars Johannisson pointed out that EdgeNext’s entry underscores the robustness of Nigeria’s digital infrastructure ecosystem, signaling continued growth and investment in the country’s tech landscape.
This collaboration aims to bolster Nigeria’s digital economy by providing scalable, high-quality infrastructure that supports content delivery, gaming, and cloud services, aligning with the country’s broader vision of becoming a regional digital hub.
