The GGDA Group chief executive officer, Sthembiso Dlamini, recently conducted a site visit to Cassava Technologies following the company’s R1.75-billion investment commitment in Gauteng.

The investment will support the expansion of fibre networks, data centre capacity, cloud and cybersecurity infrastructure, and the development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Factory in South Africa.

Beyond strengthening Gauteng’s digital infrastructure, this investment will help drive digital inclusion by expanding access to connectivity, supporting digital literacy, and creating opportunities for skills development that enable meaningful participation in the modern digital economy.

The project is expected to contribute to job creation across the ICT, engineering, construction and digital services sectors, while positioning Gauteng as a leading technology and innovation hub on the African continent.

Through strategic investment facilitation and project support, the GGDA continues to attract transformative investments that drive innovation, economic growth and long-term development.
